There’s nothing more annoying than having to deal with rats

There’s nothing more annoying than having to deal with rats invading your home. They leave feces everywhere, gnaw through wires, paper, and even the contents of your food pantry! Banishing these animals from your home becomes top priority quickly because of the destruction and health concerns they bring along with them. There are several ways to get rid of these pests and ensure that they have no reason to come back.
Firstly, you need to determine where the vermin are entering your home and what parts of the home they have infested. This is easily done by investigating the copious amounts of droppings they leave behind. Try to eliminate any hole or gaps that the animals are entering through to prevent more animals from joining you as unwanted house guests.
Once you have determined how they are getting in and fortified those entrances it’s time to choose a method of removal and bait. There are many baits available but peanut butter seems to work most effectively. There is a wide variety of traps available on the market today that can dispose of rats in both deadly and humane ways. There is the old standby of the rat trap with the spring loaded lever that crushes the rat when it takes the bait. There are also no show traps that coax the rat into a circular plastic cage with bait and then closes around it trapping it inside and breaking its neck. With this method you never have to look at the animal and some are even reusable. Another removal method is to use sticky traps which are covered in glue and cause the animal to get stuck and die. There are also no kill traps that simply bait the animal then close to trap it inside for release later. And lastly there of course are rat poisons. These should never be used around children or pets nor around any food or utensils. Sprinkle this in problem areas and wait for the rats to ingest it. This is not recommended if the rats are in hard to reach places as they may die inside and not be easily removed.
